I needed a narrowband target due to the Moon. I This one will require a 4 panel mosaic but f I do a bicolor Ha and OIII image, it will only be 2x the data of a single frame LRGB image, and less than 2x the data of a HaLRGB image. It took me several attempts to frame the first panel due to the dimness of the target. I don't know how much SII is present in this nebula, but I am thinking of a Veil like bicolor. Seeing was good for this shoot. I am imaging at 2.46 arcsec/pixel and the FWHM values were coming in around 3.5 arcsec, which means The FWHM is sampled by about 1.5 pixels. I hope conditions remain good.

I added the second panel...only 81 frames. I noticed there was not much difference between 61 and 111 for panel 1, so 81 is a good compromise. I probably will collect more for panel 2, but for now is not bad. I hope, by the time I am done with the image, that the sky irregularities (i.e gradients) will smooth out. Mosaics are tough in that respect.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.

Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection.
